Trigger finger is characterized by pain and catching in the fingers. It is most frequently seen in farmers, industrial workers, and musicians.

Repetitive finger movements or the use of excessive force are risk factors. Due to these strains, inflammation occurs in the tendons, which leads to the thickening of the tendon sheath over time, resulting in trigger finger.

Diagnosis is made through a physical examination. In treatment, splinting, anti-inflammatory medications, and steroid injections are tried. In patients who do not benefit from these treatments, surgical intervention is applied.
